National Semiconductor has released three high-performance
driver chip for use in audio power amplifiers. They are
LME49810, 49830 and 49811. They are very similar to each other.
We therefore take some measurements to evaluate their
performance in practical usages.
From the data sheet, we know that LME49811 has far less driving
capability than LME49810. A driver for output stage is necessary
regardless of BJT or MOSFET output transistors.
R1 and R2 = 22 W
are used in LME49810 and
49830 tests. R1 and R2 = 22
W or 0 Ω
are used in LME49811 tests. Cc = 22 pF is used in all
cases.
